David Blue Garcia is an Emmy Award-winning director, screenwriter, and cinematographer.

He directed Texas Chainsaw Massacre for Legendary Pictures, released on Netflix in 2022, where it drew over 29 million hours viewed in its first week. His debut feature, Tejano, an action-thriller rooted in South Texas culture, premiered on HBO.

Since 2006, Garcia has worked across commercials and features, directing and shooting projects around the world. From filming toy campaigns in the wilderness of British Columbia (while grizzly bears circled video village), to capturing elite athletes in Hawaii, to crafting cinematic food and lifestyle campaigns, his work spans a wide range of tone and scale.

A native Texan, he is based in Austin and works worldwide.
